What finally clicked for me after a self-defence class
I've been sitting on writing this one for a bit — and as per usual, chastising myself for not doing it yet. And also as per usual, with anything I tend to put the brakes on putting into the world, it's for a reason. I don't know why I just can't drop the chastising part... anyway. Back in June I had the opportunity to attend a free personal safety workshop, EmpowerHer, for women, facilitated by volunteer female officers from the Surrey Police Service. (Small world: turns out

5 Years of Unplanned Self-Employment: What I've Learned, What I'd Tell Myself and Why I'm Still Choosing This
Somehow, it's been five years. Five years since I started Emily Gibson Consulting in what I can only describe as the most unplanned pivot of my life. Self-employment was never a dream of mine. Musings on receiving energy
I’ve been thinking a lot about receiving recently. Over the past few months I’ve been intentionally making time throughout my day to ‘receive’ as part of my workday—aka not just sitting there pushing out outputs or refreshing my email. 🌻 Why the Sunflower
I’m not sure how many folks have heard of the dark night of the soul. It’s something that’s talked about in the spiritual community — a profound moment that often propels a spiritual awakening. It’s where you’re confronted with deep truths, stripped down to your most vulnerable and invited to rebuild yourself from the inside out. I experienced my own dark night of the soul back in November 2023. {Psst...I made a video about this on my youtube channel here or feel free to kee
